Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is this Sunday (so just five days away)! If you’re still shopping for the perfect gift for the men in your life, below are a few ideas. Most can be here by Sunday (thank goodness for Prime and expedited shipping options!). The gifts below range from $15 to $350 based on prices at the time this post was published.

YETI Products

I feel like these don’t need explanation. They’re always a winner. A YETI Hopper has been on my husband’s wish list for a while so I am considering surprising him with one. We’re often out on the water on our boat or paddle boards so a soft sided cooler would definitely get used!

TrueDark Glasses

I first bought a pair of TrueDark glasses when I was finding my eyes constantly dried out to the point of discomfort. Like most people, I spend a lot of time in front of a screen and the discomfort I was experiencing was in part due to all of the blue light exposure my eyes were getting. Enter in, TrueDark. I bought myself a pair of the Daylights Pro (<- Prime Link). My husband was borrowing them so much that I ended up letting him have mine and I got another pair in a tortoise shell design. Our collection has since expanded to include night time glasses that block out up to 100% of blue light. My husband and I have both experienced noticeable differences in our sleep quality since starting to wear them.

If you need them now, you can order from Amazon. I found my & my husband’s daylights on Prime. If you have extra time, order them directly from TrueDark and take advantage of their 20% off Father’s Day Sale (through 6/21/20). Otherwise, you can use code wellnessjovi for 10% off any time!

Audible Membership/Books

My husband is addicted to Audible. He devours books on a weekly basis and loves listening to the latest and greatest during his commute, his workout, during walks, etc. An Audible membership comes with a monthly allotment of credits that allow you to download pretty much any book out there. You can gift the guy in your life a 1,3,6 or 12 month Audible membership. Spend ranges from $15 for a one month membership to $150 for a 12 month membership.

Your gift recipient will enjoy:

  • An unmatched selection of audiobooks performed by world-class talent.
  • 3 titles for each month of their gift membership: 1 audiobook + 2 Audible Originals.
  • 30% off any additional audiobooks.
  • Anywhere, anytime listening with the free Audible app.
  • Free and easy audiobook exchanges.
  • An Audible book library they’ll own forever.

If you would like to try Audible yourself, you can sign up for a 30-Day Free Trial.

A feature I personally love is when books have Whispersync enabled. Whispersync allows you to switch between reading on your Kindle app or device and listening on Audible, seamlessly. When you’re addicted to a book and can’t put it down, you can keep enjoying it on audio on any Audible enabled device (your phone, Alexa, etc.).

Noise Cancelling Headphones

With everyone being home, these Bose noise cancelling headphones have become a must have. At $349, they’re an investment but worth it in my opinion. The “Arctic White” (but really they’re rose gold) option is an extra $50 off on Amazon right now. The older model of these received just as good reviews and are $299 in black/silver, or $236 in rose gold.

They’re amazing for conference calls, listening to music, books or our favorite binaural beats app, Beatfulness.

An Air Fryer

No, your husband/father/uncle/special guy does not actually want an air fryer but they do want delicious food that they don’t have to cook. Ever since we got an air fryer, our use of the grill has decreased significantly. It’s been nice to not have to wait for my husband to get home to “cook the meat” (I haven’t really mastered the grill yet).

Our air fryer is on a Limited Time Deal on Amazon right now for $100. It has an average rating of 4.7 with 5.7K+ reviews. I promise it won’t be just another kitchen gadget you don’t use. The main question I get about air fryers is “What can I cook in it?”. My answer: “everything.” I constantly experiment with “throwing it in the air fryer” and aside from trying to cook frozen coho salmon in it, I haven’t been disappointed!

At Home Gym Equipment

This likely warrants a post of its own and if we ever get our garage to look decent enough, I’ll photograph what we’ve done to build a home gym. When our gyms shut down, my husband needed an option for getting his workouts in. He loves calisthenics so these pieces allowed him to continue doing that while his gym was shut down. His gym has since opened back up but he still prefers his garage option. It doubles as a jungle gym for our kids, so it’s a win all around! Just FYI, some of this did take some set up/handy work but nothing extraordinary.

Gymnastics Rings $50

Push Up Stand Parrallettes $65

Climbing Pull Up Power Ball Hold Grips $26

Manduka Yoga Mat $120

With the exception of the YETI Hopper, we’ve experienced all of these products first hand and are happy to answer questions. I hope this has been helpful!

Happy Father’s Day!
